Rambo (2008)

Like bring back Rocky Balboa wasn’t ridicules enough, Sly is bringing back RAMBO, yes RAMBO I can’t believe how is he managing to convince people that it’s a good idea. Would Sly still be believable as strong, powerful, destroy anything Rambo, I mean COME ON the guy is 60 years old, please start getting roles that fit your age. I hoped he will be only issuing orders from behind a desk or something, because that’s the only way this movie will work, but nooo the plot says “Vietnam vet John Rambo is forced to emerge from his reclusive lifestyle and take justice into his own hands after his daughter gets kidnapped”.

I guess if you can’t make new good movies, you can bring back your old movies that people liked. I know a lot of people are fans of the Rambo trilogy, and believe me I like them too, but let’s not ruin a good thing don’t you agree.

I think Rocky (Stallone) is a good example for young people. Hardly any young people sport these days. And the ethical moments in Rocky Balboa; I mean Stallone sets a good example for kids!
Stallone rules! GREAT to see a 60 year YOUNG man do this! I respect him 101%! Keep it up Mr. Stallone!!

:-)

p.s.: I am a former top-gymnast and an acrobat. Sporting is great!

I agree Rocky Balboa was a good movie and I hope Rambo will be as good. I just get tired of everyone saying he is too old. When you watch Rocky Balboa they made a point that he isn't what he used to be but he is still in incredible shape and was believable. And for Rambo he isn't too old to pull a trigger on a gun! I hate how people mock all the new sequels coming back(die hard,Indy,Ghostbusters) They are just one last hooray and then they will probably be done. Some people make it like the actors are so old their almost dead. As long as they include some realism that they are not young anymore but still keep the essence of what made them great it will be good. I'm there opening night for Rambo and Die Hard.

I just watched the movie and left the theater less than 20 minutes ago. It was in my opinion the best Rambo of all 4 (yeah, it is that good imho). I went in wondering what the plot would be (there aren't that many wars going on in the world that a 1-man army can fix anymore). I was very impressed with the whole thing. I was surprised it only lasted 1h20 (I timed it). I was left wanting more... It was as bloody as they come. I have no idea what newer weapons they were using but the ones they had were cutting people in half (that bloody) and in one scene he slashed someone's throat with his bare hands (picture that). I loved Rocky Balboa too. I even bought the dvd because it was that good and that emotional.
